Hawaii had reassured him that it wasn't 'a disaster', but the fact that they had to stop because it was too painful kind of made it so that now trying to face it again would be more...Well, intimidating for Rico, and possibily more frustrating for Hawaii himself though he'd never admit it.

Rico assumes that they will keep being friends and discuss what happened in a way that hopefully didn't make it worse. The tarot reading Rico gave himself said they were gonna be okay, so...

"Hello." Rico sits next to Hawaii at dinner. "How did the mission go?"

"It's just me, don't worry" he chuckled.

"thought you'd be interested in seeing some videos"
He slides his arm down, squeezing Rico's ass just to tease him.

"What?! No! Why would I?"

He really is grossed out. Though this is not about him being asexual, at all. He is not sex repulsed, this specific type of aversion stems from something else. Life has taught him, somehow, that he should have nothing to do with this type of stuff.

This reaction startles him, but he isn't going to make fun of Rico for it.

"I mean, I thought you found me sexy, or something" he's getting mumbly, because he really doesn't want to come off as confrontational.

"I was just kidding"

"Oh, no, it's not that. I do like you," by which he means 'find you sexy' but he figures it sounds dumb coming out of his mouth "It's just--"

He shakes his head.

"Sorry."

"It's okay, I... forget that porn isn't actually your thing"
Should they be having this conversation in the mess hall? He doesn't really care, he discussed worst stuff with York or Florida, in the past. And was a lot more graphic about it, too.

"You don't have to be ashamed for it"

"I mean, I guess I would watch it if it was us." Rico says in a bafflingly nonchalant tone "That if I was any good at this stuff anyway."

He is still an awkward virgin at heart, but he does mean the filthy thing he just said. It is quite the combination for sure.

"That's the spirit!" he patted Rico on the back, "I'm always willing to help you practice"

He glides over how random it sounds, especially considering the way Rico looked horrified not so long ago.
He puts a hand on his knee anyway.

"Um. Right."

He's closed off again. It's coming back to him how embarassing that last attempt was, even the idea of bringing it up makes him want to sink into the floor.

"Okay, so..." he reaches for the deck in his pocket "Here are the cards."

"great"

He takes a moment to finish off the last bite of his dinner, before picking his tray up.

"I guess we can go, then. My room?"

"Sure."

He knows the way so he walks past Hawaii without letting him lead him there. Which probably looks suspicious, but they're not doing anything wrong.

He sets the material on the table.

"Okay so, there's five of each card. I don't think we have to use all of them but uh," he puts all the cards face down and shuffles them "You have to pick some cards. Then you hold them up without them facing me and I have to guess what symbol it is."

The five symbols available are: a circle, a cross, three waves, a square, and a star.

Hawaii closes the door behind them, and has RIco sets everything up, he fetches the camera. He places it behind himself, so that it's recording Rico and the cards when he picks them up.

"Alright.I'm starting the video" he warns before sitting down, and drawing the first card.

"O-okay."

Man, the fact that this is being recorded kinda intimidates him.

"Alright, try to send me like, a mental image of what you see. Without telling me, just...Mentally, and if I'm attuned to you I should get it right."

He nods, staring at the square drawn on the card.

He never really belieeved in this kind of stuff until he met Rico, which was a long time ago, so... He does believe it, now. He focuses ont the card, hoping for it to work, his eyes darting from it to Rico's face.

"I-- I don't know."

Maybe it's the pressure, but it just doesn't come to him. Not the way it should.

"It's...Wide, with nothing inside."

He presses his lips and curls his mouth.

"Circle. No, square! Uh, no, wait." he inhales through his nose "Fuck, I gotta pick one....Fuck. Uhhh. C-circle?"

"You almost got it!" he turns the card around, genuinely pleased.

He can tell Rico is nervous, so he hopes that by keeping this attitude he could relax. He stretches his foot underneath the table, hoping to help him move his focus away from the camera.

"I'll go ahead with the next one"

He's almost startled when Hawaii moves his foot. Man, he's tense.

"Okay, alright, um." he shifts in his place and watches Hawaii take the next card. Before he can bring it close to himself, Rico speaks "I feel like you are going to pick the waves and then the star next. Or the other way around."

"Oh, that's right" he picks the next card.

He shows the camera, then Rico.
"Waves and star!" he smiles,nodding at him.

"good job!"

He then decides to speed things up and pick three more cards.

"Two crosses and one circle. No, wait, two crosses and one square."

This is getting more complicated.

"Is it the circle or the square?" he hovers his hand over the first two cards, revealing in fact a cross and a star.

"I want you to be sure"
he doesn't give any more hints, but tries to reassure Rico by tapping his foot under the table.

"Hmmm."

Rico takes a moment to think about it.

"Square."

he turns the card over, and it's square.

"Whoa!" he shuffles the cards back in the deck.
"You only got two wrong so far!"

he then pulls a random card from the middle of the deck, and looks at it.

Rico's eyes wonder aimlessly when the cards are shuffled. When Hawaii picks a card, his mind goes blank.

"Shit."

Then he remembers they are being recorded and swearing is inapppropriate.

"Wait, fuck, I shouldn't swear." he drags his hands over his face "Oh man."

Gulping a bit loudly, he sighs and then stares at the card.

"It's either...Either the cross or the waves."

"Cross again"

he turns the card for Rico to see.

"How about this one?"

Rico thinks it might be either the waves or the circle.

"Waves?"

He puts the card back in the deck, then draws one.
